Registered members of the College of Early Childhood Education can follow these Codes of Ethics and Standards of Practice to build and maintain their professionalism in the field. Each member gets their own personal profile and registration number; and based on their conduct and work ethics, registered ECE members have the chance to be more diligent about their work and responsible for their own understanding of what it means to be a professional ECE. This document is one that I must keep as a resource so that I can refer to it in situations that come up in which I may not have the answer or knowledge to so that I can proceed in a manner that reflects my professional responsibilities. I am considered a reflection of the profession of Early Childhood Education and since memberships are active, I can be searched by the public, so I want to make sure that I do a good job and represent my career and the field to the best of my ability. This document helps to provide information on how to follow conduct and be ethical in our approach to child care.
